It’s that time of year again when patriot Aussie’s sport their made in China Australian flags and proudly wear the colours of genocide on shirts, shorts and even their face.

To get some relief from these grotesque displays of Aussie ‘pride’  come along to Upstairs 199 Boundary St West End on Wednesday January 23 for some subversive music and words which will probably be deemed unAustralian by your favorite right wing talk show host.

Two rebellious bees from Turtle Island (North America) will be rolling into Brisbane that day fresh after the 32 hour train ride from Cairns.  This is the first gig on their epic Australian tour which will take them to Sydney, Canberra (for Invasion Day), Melbourne, Adelaide and all the way over to Perth.

They’re bringing with them tales of resistance movements from a far, sharing stories of earth defense, decolonisation (#idlenomore) and solidairty.

Testament is a rapper and author as well as an active participant in anti-authoritarian movements in North America. He is one half of Test Their Logik: North America’s most widely-known anarchist hip-hop group.

They exploded onto the scene in 2010 with their song “Crash the Meeting” which went on to become the theme song and chant of resistance to the G20 summit in their hometown of Toronto that year.

Also on the night the folk punk band  Run Pig Run will be playing music to put you in the mood to smash the state and fuck the police.
